Caves of Nerja

The caves, called the "natural cathedral of the Costa del Sol" is located 750 meters from the shoreline on a hill in the Sierra de Almijara Mountains, about 200 meters above sea level. The cavity open to the public has an area of about 140,000 square meters, with a maximum length of 700 meters. Only a third of the rooms are open to tourists and the estimated duration of the visit to this area in the caves of Nerja is about 45 minutes.
